Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
This spectacular Ted Lindsay Detroit Red Wings custom leather jacket was made by the Roots company to honor Hockeytown’s legendary Number 7. This black leather beauty with Lindsay’s retired No. 7 and the Red Wings’ iconic Winged Wheel logo displayed in a circular embroidered patch on the left breast is one of the 300 custom jackets made for a special event hosted for the HOF left wing by the company Tenneco. Roots tagging in the back of the neck has a size S flag tag at the bottom. It is either a small or an extra small, as evidenced by the “X” written in black marker in front of the S. It measures out to roughly a size 40 and is 29” long. “Tenneco” is embroidered on the left cuff. A leather patch inside the left breast on the lining has Lindsay’s facsimile signature embroidered along with “Thank You for your Support” in white thread. A beautifully preserved Roots jacket in gorgeous black leather.
