The most consistent of all 24 NHL expansion clubs with 16 Conference Finals appearances, the Philadelphia Flyers were also the first expansion team in the post–Original Six era to win the Stanley Cup, with consecutive victories in 1974 and 1975. This lot contains a great grouping of Flyers team-issued press photos totaling approx 254, and ranging from 1967-68, to the early-1980s. All glossy black and white prints with most in the 8” x 10” range, included, we have 11 photos from the inaugural season of 1967-68 including Dornhoefer, Parent, Kennedy and Favell (most are in low grade, with tape residue), 18 misc postcards including Clarke, Leach and Propp (signed), 28 photos from 1972-73, 20 photos from 1973-74, 8 color Stanley Cup championship photos from 1974-75 (5” x 7”), 37 photos from 1975-76 including Parent and Clarke, 20 photos from 1977-78, 20 photos from 1980-81, and 92 misc photos – mostly from the 1970s. There is also small leaflets for Clarke’s 1,000th point, Barber’s 400th goal and Joe Watson tribute night, 15 colour 4” x 6” photos from the early-1980s, a Flyers Christmas card from 1990-91, a press photo signed by Bobby Clarke and more. The majority of the photos display well with light handling wear as well as the odd corner ding, crease or blemish.
