Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
The early-1970s saw kids likely brushing their teeth more than other periods of time(!), thanks to nifty collectibles offered with Colgate toothpaste. These “heads” came with a tube of toothpaste inside Colgate boxes, with just a Frank Mahovlich head missing here for a complete set of 17. The scarce Rick Martin and Brad Park pieces are indeed present and join those depicting Plante, Orr, Dryden, Lafleur, Cournoyer, Ratelle, Tkaczuk, Sanderson, Dionne, Henderson, Unger and Tallon. There are two of each of the Norm Ullman variation, (Ullman and “Ullmann”) and a duplicate of Bobby Orr – nice. Also nice is the condition, with the 1-1/4” high creations exhibiting no or very little handling and wear. They’re in difficult-to-hope-for-much-nicer shape and ready to enhance your ever-growing collection!
