Making the most postseason appearances for any non-Original Six club, the St Louis Blues have earned 10 Division championships throughout their half century of existence, and at the time of this writing, are the current holders of the Stanley Cup. This lot contains a great collection of Blues postcards ranging from the club’s inception in the late-1960s to 1999-00, totaling approx 455, with 31 signed. First, we have 26 colour postcards from the late-1960s (name in white) including Plante, Hall, Bowman, Wakely, Goyette, Berenson, Talbot, Arbour, Henry, Plager and others, 4 colour postcards from the late-1960s (no name) including Gray, Maki, Plager and Jirik, 1967-68 – 21 blank-backed postcards with 4 signed (Hall, Moore, Sabourin and one other), 1968-69 – 22 colour postcards including Hall, Harvey, Plante, Talbot and others, 1969-70 – 30 colour postcards including Hall, Goyette, Plante, Bowman and others, 1970-71 – 30 colour postcards including 2 signed (Unger and Wakely), 1971-72 – 36 colour postcards, 1972-73 – 23 “Action Photos” (7” x 9”) including the team shot, 1973-74 – 23 “Action Photos”, 22 colour postcards from 1978-79 including Babych, Currie, Federko, Giroux, Myre, Staniowski, Sutter, Unger and others, 1978-79 – 24 colour postcards, late-1970s – 23 black and white postcards including Berenson, Bennett, Myre, Holt, Fairburn and others, early-1980s – 15 black and white postcards including Schofield, Wamsley, Delorme, Mullen and others, 1980-81 – 12 dual-sided “Action Photos” with Liut, Federko, 1984-88 – 32 postcards including 25 signed (Cavallini, Federko, Millen, Sutter, Raglan, Gilmour, Wickenheiser, Dark and others), 1988-89 – 24 postcards, 1988-89 - 24 blank-backed colour postcards including Sutter, Hull, Roberts, Momesso, Millen, Gingras, Federko and others, 1991-92 – 24 postcards, 1997-98 – 34 postcards, 1999-00 – 26 postcards, 1999-00 – 8 oversized player photos. The misc items include a pair of Coke postcards signed by Brett Hull, team photos from 1968-69, 1969-70 and 1972-73, a Jimmy Roberts Hamilton Savings ad photo and more. The majority of the postcards remain in beautiful condition with just light handling wear, with some of the earlier examples in stunning high grade.
