Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
One of 12 members of the Habs dynasty to win the Stanley Cup in five consecutive seasons from 1956-60, forward Don Marshall used this CCM wood gamer during the mid-1950s. Marshall’s No. “22” is stamped on the shaft along with “Custom Made for“, though “Marshall” is pretty much all erased. Don’s original tape jobs remain on the knob and blade, which is missing a couple of rows towards the heel and has a loose strand. Game use shows in black marks at the heel. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
The wood at the toe of the blade has some age separation that is common with stick of this vintage. “Raymond Hardware” is stamped at the top on one side of the shaft along with “CCM Pattern Made Professional” below, which appears on both sides.
