This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Featuring six different images of one of the most collected of all NHL teams, this lot contains a small collection of Toronto Maple Leafs items, with a few neat advertising pieces included. First, we have Leafs team photos from the early-1920s, (St Pats, 8” x 10”, a later print with stamp from Turofsky over the reverse along with players listed), mid-1930s (modern copy framed to 12” x 14 ½”), 1938-39 (8” x 10”, a later print with stamp from Turofsky over the reverse along with players listed), 1944-45 (8” x 9 ½” newsprint photo advertising Quaker Oats), 1946-47 (9” x 12”, thin stock with fold line and creases), and 1950-51 (8 ½” x 11”, Stanley Cup champions, affixed to scrapbook page). Next, we have a desirable Buckingham Hockey Parade booklet from 1933-34 with Leafs player photos and bios (5 ½” x 7 ½”, coverless with heavy wear), an O’Keefe’s magazine ad for the 1932-33 Leafs coasters (framed to 8 ½” x 10 ½”, moderate wear with toning), a Charlie Conacher General Motors newsprint photo (10 ½” x 14”, light wear) and a collection of 6 small circular heads (Primeau, Smythe, Darragh, Gracie, Jackson and Conacher) trimmed from an original 1931-32 Vi-Tone advertising sign. The Turofsky-stamped photos show light to moderate handling wear, with heavier wear to the 1946-47 and 1950-51 team photos.
