Super Mario helped lead Canada to a silver medal following his Calder Trophy rookie season. Mario Lemieux’s game-used stick is from the 1985 IIHF World Championship in Prague when Canada beat the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. in the final round before losing its last game to Czechoslovakia. Le Magnifique had 4 goals and 10 points in 9 games and this Titan TSM1001 gamer with “M.Lemieux” stamped on the shaft displays plenty of game wear, including lots of red goalpost paint transfer low on the shaft. Part of Mario’s original tape job on the knob is missing and his tape was removed from the blade. "Avr 12 1985" factory date stamp sits low on the back of the shaft of this model that he also used in 1985-86.
