Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
There’s no doubt that Martin Brodeur is going into the Hockey Hall of Fame if he ever retires, and thanks to a number of photo matches, there is no doubt that the NHL’s all-time goalie games played, wins and shutouts leader wore these Reebok goalie pads with the New Jersey Devils during the 2007-08 season. Action photos of Marty from February and March 2008 show three areas of distinctive black marks on the inside edge of the right pad. There are also seven marks photo-matched on the inside edge of the left pad, which also has three matched black marks on the red portion of the upper front, matched marks to the left of the RBK logo on the white portion, and a black mark across the upper white strap at the bottom of the left pad. Loads of great game use in black marks aplenty. “Brodeur” is embroidered in white on a black leather patch on the outside of the right knee.
