Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Guy Lapointe’s Team Canada 1972 Summit Series game-used stick is featured in this lot of two twigs that includes a Russia multi-signed stick. Both sticks were originally obtained from a member of the 1972 Team Canada equipment staff. Guy’s tape jobs remain on the blade and knob of his Victoriaville gamer, which “5 G Lapointe” stamped on the shaft that has the two bands of red and white accent stripe tape put on the Canada-Russia series sticks. Game use shows in black marks on the blade, which has a custom-shaved bottom edge and a narrow band of white tape. The Russian stick has about 13 red ink autographs that are very hard to make out.
What appears to be “Bodunov” is written in red at the top of the shaft of the Russian multi-signed stick which also has No. “24” written in black marker on the front of the upper shaft.
