Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

Russian superstar Alex Ovechkin reached the 50-goal mark for a third straight season in 2009-10, and the fourth time in his first five NHL campaigns. Alexander the Gr8’s red Washington Capitals captain’s game-worn captain’s jersey from that season is photo-matched to a shot of Ovechkin that clearly shows the fabric pull from a snag on the front below the team crest. Ovechkin’s Set 2 gamer has size 58 flag tag in the neck. Game wear includes black marks on the sleeves and a board burn on the left elbow. The MeiGray NHL Game Worn Jersey 2009-2010 Season patch sewn inside the back has a registry number that corresponds to the one on the accompanying Capitals/MeiGray LOA.
Ovi won the Lester B. Pearson Award (now the Ted Lindsay Award) for a third straight season in 2009-10.
