Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

From the 1996-97 campaign when flashy forward Stephane Richer returned to his original team, the Canadiens, after spending the previous 5 seasons in New Jersey is this Richer game-issued Habs jersey. With the maker’s tag in the collar removed but a size “52” flap remaining, this jersey shows excellent condition but the white has turned to more of a cream color (although it’s never been washed), and a few small marks, specifically on the right sleeve are to note, as well as the jersey having a faint tobacco scent. All in all, a splendid game-issued Richer jersey with the double tackle twill number “44” displayed on the back and sleeves, and single twill “Richer” lettering sewn on the nameplate. From the fellow who once notched 50 goals with the Canadiens during the 1987-88 season.
