Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
HOF left wing Steve Shutt says his photo-matched 1983-84 Canadiens game-worn playoffs jersey is the last road jersey he wore for the Habs early the following season before he was traded to the L.A. Kings. This historic Habs gamer is matched to an action shot of Shutt wearing it during the 1984 Wales Conference final against the Islanders by the black mark on the upper part of the left “2” sewn on the left sleeve and the distinctive semi-circular black mark to the right of the numbers on the left sleeve. Shutt would have worn this gamer throughout the 1984 playoffs, including the Battle of Quebec series against the Nordiques, and on into the beginning of the 1984-85 season. Comes with Steve Shutt’s signed LOA plus an additional LOA.
Size 50 laundry instruction flag tag remains in the back of the neck and garter-style fight strap is complete. More game wear includes black marks on the front tail, back and both sleeves, which also have board burns. There is a reddish-brown stain on the lower right sleeve.
