Another coveted Maple Leafs picture here is made so by the fact that Mel Hill’s first of four seasons with Toronto was 1942-43. In collectible condition, this example, upon close inspection, has subtle evidence at the corners of once having been stored in a photo album, with also a one-inch light bend/crease affecting both the photo and the beige mat in the upper right region. Light toning to the mat is discovered when lifting up the photo. “Sudden Death” Hill had previously lifted many Bruins fans with his overtime heroics.
