“Do you have a Joe Krol Bee Hive?” is a question that longtime dealers of vintage material have been asked numerous times over the years, with the short-lived (actually “Brooklyn”) Americans’ left winger playing just 24 games in 1941-42, helping make his picture be one of the most difficult to locate. The captivating example here features a crease-free picture applied to a beige backing that exhibits a diagonal one-inch crease in the lower left corner. A crease is also visible in the beige border, (two-thirds up the left side), with a small light crease in two other corners. In collectible condition with no major/unsightly flaws, this treasure is truly inviting.
