Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Twenty-seven Dodgers came to the plate on July 28, 1991, and twenty-seven headed straight back to the dugout when Montreal Expo hurler Dennis Martinez pitched what was the 13th perfect game in MLB history and making him the first Latin American-born pitcher to accomplish the feat. Offered is one of the balls used during that historic game at Dodger Stadium, a Rawlings “Official National League William White” ball, signed on the sweet spot by Martinez in clear black ink, with the added inscription reading as “7-28-91 Perfect Game”. With various scuffs from being game-used, this magnificent memento comes with LOAs from both JSA and Mears.
