Forward Bob Bourne was wearing this video-matched white mesh New York Islanders jersey after their 1981 Stanley Cup-clinching win against the Minnesota North Stars. Bourne’s game-worn #14 jersey is video-matched by the black marks on the triple twill team crest sewn on the front of the white mesh jersey as well as the black marks below it. These marks show clearly in a TV interview with Bourne in the Islanders’ dressing room on May 21, 1981 following New York’s 5-1 win against the North Stars in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals, as stated in the MeiGray Vintage LOA that is included here. Bourne’s No. 14 is written in black marker on the SK tag, one of two flag tags in the back of the neck. A MeiGray COR and two additional LOAs are included.
More game wear shows in blue paint transfer on the back of the upper left sleeve and left shoulder, light board burns with red paint transfer to the right of the numbers on the left sleeve, and board burns lower on the sleeve.
Sandow SK logo is heat-screened in white vinyl on the right rear tail and there are two canvas fight strap loops sewn inside the back of this 1981 Stanley Cup Finals game-worn jersey.
