Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Brilliant b&w limited-edition prints measure 16” x 20” and showcase the legendary Ben Hogan at the 1959 US Open, with the 12 different images each hand-numbered as “356/500” and signed by legendary golf photographer Jules Alexander. Alexander’s body of work has covered hundreds of pro and amateur tournaments over the years, but it was these photos in 1959 that jumpstarted his career. The prints come in a great, hardcover portfolio inscribed as “Hogan”, and include among the 12 images and listed in a 4-page introduction booklet - “First day. Opening tee shot; First day, fifth hole; Third day, fairway wood after rain delay; Alone on the green. Practice Day” and others. An absolutely beautiful set of prints in excellent condition, presented in extremely stylish fashion.
