Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Fine and not often seen signature from HOFer Marty Barry, whose playing career covered 1927 to 1941 with the New York Americans, Boston Bruins, Detroit Red Wings, and Montreal Canadiens, and which ultimately saw him inducted into the HOF in 1965. Marty has signed a 1 ½” x 3 ¾” clean beige cut in clear blue ballpoint pen, with the cut mounted in a tasteful matte that also bears a reproduced picture of Barry in his Bruins uniform. In beautiful condition (the bottom left corner of the picture has faint white-out showing), it’s a terrific signature and display ready for framing, from a fellow who hoisted the Stanley Cup twice (1935-36 and ’36-37), was a great friend of Howie Morenz, and who passed away in 1969 at the age of 63.
