Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
The Red Wings’ iconic Winged Wheel crest sits on the front of this circa 1970 game-worn jersey, which was recycled for use in old-timers games by Nelson DeBenedet sometime in the 1970s. The Olympic Sporting Goods tag sits in the back of the neck along with a size 46 flag tag that is frayed along the bottom edge. There is a faded General Athletic laundry instruction tag on the inside hem. Number 24 is sewn-on white twill on the back and both sleeves. The nameplate with sewn-on white twill letters is partially detached. Classic Red Wings red game-worn jersey has some marks on the sleeves and on the white band around the tails, a diagonal mark on the front and a small team repair to the left of the logo. There is an unrepaired hole low on the left sleeve.
