A key component of the French Connection Line that led the Buffalo Sabres to the Stanley Cup Final in 1975, right wing Rene Robert teamed up with the late Rick Martin and HOF center Gil Perreault to supply offense that electrified the old Aud. Robert had two 40-goal seasons for the Sabres after he was acquired from Pittsburgh late in the 1971-72 season and became Buffalo’s first 100-point scorer in 1974-75. His early- to mid-1970s Sabres tie-neck gamer with his retired No. 14 has Rawlings size 44 and Al Dekdebrun Sporting Goods tagging remain sewn inside the left rear hem. We count nine team repairs and more game wear shows with inner pilling, particularly in the sleeves.
