Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
From HOF defenceman Paul Coffey (ind. 2004) is this late-‘90s Sher-Wood game-used stick handled by him when he was a member of the Carolina Hurricanes in the late-1990s and nearing the end of his spectacular career. With original black knob tape and “Coffey 77” painted on the upper shaft and again on the side as “Handcrafted exclusively for Paul Coffey 77 by Drolet”, this gamer also shows a stamped-on “Carolina” closer to the blade, while on the blade itself, the tape has been removed and replaced by Coffey’s signature in clear and bold black marker. Great gamer from a fellow who collected 1531 points in 1409 regular season games, a truly extraordinary number for a defenceman.
