Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
A pair of game-used sticks on the block here from 2 truly great players, Adam Oates and Rod Brind’Amour, beginning with Oates’ early-90s “Louisville TPS” from his days in Boston where he suited up for 5 ½ seasons in the early-90s. With Adam’s original white tape on the blade and black on the knob, this Louisville gamer has “Oates” stamped on the upper shaft, a series of game marks are scattered about, and condition-wise sees the blade with a crack near the heel but remains perfectly intact. Rod Brind’Amour starred for 8+ seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers before becoming leader of the Carolina Hurricanes from 2000 to 2010, and it was with the Flyers in the mid-1990s that he wielded this Hespeler gamer offered here. With Rod’s original white tape on the blade and knob, “R. Brind’Amour” stamped on the upper shaft, and number “17” handwritten on the knob, this is a fine stick from the great player who has signed the cracked and chipped blade with clear black marker.
