Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

Longtime NHL referee Bruce Hood was the first to officiate over 1,000 NHL games. In a 21-year career from 1963-1984, Hood called 1,033 regular season games and 167 playoff games, including Game 4 of the 1970 series and Bobby Orr’s overtime goal, and the controversial Nordiques vs. Canadiens “Good Friday” game just before he retired. “Hood” is spelled out in sewn-on white twill letters on the black air-knit nameplate on the back of Bruce’s early-1980s NHL referee’s game-worn jersey with “Tease Knitting Co.” tagging in the back of the zipper-front collar. Wonderfully preserved!
