Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
There’s a good reason this circa late-1960s Tulsa Oilers game-worn captain’s jersey makes you think of the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Oilers were the Leafs’ farm team from 1964 to 1973, which explains the colors of the blue durene gamer with three white stripes on the sleeves and tails. Blue twill crest on the front features the Oilers’ logo in awesome white thread cable stitch embroidering. Tagging remains in the neck and tail. Game wear includes marks on the front tail and left shoulder and board burns on the sleeves and right rear tail.
D&H Sporting Goods Tulsa, Okla. tagging in the back of the neck is frayed on the edges and the flag tag below has frayed away the size at the bottom. Measures out to a size 48. General Athletics laundry instruction flag tag remains sewn inside the left rear tail. Numbers on the back and both sleeves and C on the left breast are sewn-on white twill. There are a few holes and fabric runs on the jersey that do not diminish its display.
