Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

Blue durene 1973-74 New York Islanders game-worn jersey was recycled for use with the CHL Fort Worth Texans during the 1976-77 season. Attributed to goalie Gerry Desjardins with the Islanders, the jersey with Rawlings size 50 tagging in the back of the tie-neck has the outline on the inside where the Isles crest was removed and replaced by the nicely embroidered Texans crest and repurposed for use by Don Cutts. There is evidence of a former nameplate and a big repair on the left upper front. A fine example from a frugal period in the game’s history. Comes with an LOA.
More game wear shows in red paint transfer on the tails and low on the right sleeve and black marks low on the left sleeve. Unrepaired holes low on the sleeves and on the rear tail do not diminish its display.
