Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

HOF left wing Michel Goulet lit up NHL goalies during the 1980s for the ill-fated Quebec Nordiques. Goulet’s awesome 1985-86 Nords game-worn blue road jersey features the coveted Rendez-Vous 87 patch on the right shoulder and also displays great game wear, including team repairs. CCM and “84 10” born on date flag tags sit in the back of the neck of this gamer from an earlier set. The Nords began wearing the Rendez-Vous 87 patch in 1985-86 and continued wearing it into the following season. The sewn-on team crest is twill and embroidery while numbers, fleur-de-lys and surname letters on the nameplate are heat-screened white vinyl with cracking, flaking and peeling that is common for Nords gamers of this era. Comes with an LOA.
There are four sewing fixes on the left sleeve and three more team repairs on the right sleeve. More game wear shows in marks on the tails and sleeves, board burns with paint transfer and unrepaired burn holes.
Michel scored 53 goals in 1985-86 for his fourth straight and final 50-goal season. He added 51 assists for 104 points, one of four 100-point seasons with the Nordiques. Goulet, who finished his career with Chicago, scored 548 goals and had 1,152 points in 1,089 NHL regular season games.
