Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

It was the beginning of goaltender Chris Osgood’s second stint with the Detroit Red Wings, the 2005-06 campaign, when he used this Sher-Wood gamer offered here. Signed on the paddle in clear gold marker with the signature stretching 11” long, this gamer has Osgood’s original white tape on the blade and knob, “Osgood” is stamped on the upper shaft, and tons of nice puck marks line the blade and paddle. The consigner has attached a note dating the time he received the stick (March 11, 2006) from his dressing room attendant buddy at the Joe Louis Arena, and adds that it for the Red Wings-Chicago Blackhawks game that night. A nice crack-free gamer from Osgood who would play the majority of his career with Detroit but also donned the pads for the Islanders and Blues.
