Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
From Curtis Joseph's first season in Detroit (2002-03) after coming over from the Leafs is this mighty fine Bauer stick featuring the great goalie’s original white tape on both the blade, knob, and above the paddle. On the upper shaft is a stamped-on “Cujo”, a series of numbers are stamped on the opposite side further down, and on the blade, Curtis has signed in big and bold black marker as “Pat, All the best, Cujo”. Just a great game-used goalie stick with a number pf puck marks lining the blade and shaft, and the consigner has added a note reading as “This stick was given to me by Rick Szuber, my buddy – also the visitors’ dressing room attendant at the “Joe – after the game." He also adds "On Sunday, January 19, 2003 between the Detroit Red Wings & Vancouver Canucks at the Joe Louis Arena. The stick belonged to Red Wings goalie Curtis Joseph. It is also signed.”
