Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

Garry Unger’s fantastic 1979 Team Canada gamer is the one the All-Star center wore while representing his country at the IIHF world championships in Moscow. Originally from the Garry Unger Collection, this lightweight mesh game-worn jersey has a washed out SK flag tag in the back of the neck. Team Canada's red, orange and green logo is screened on the front and sleeves, as is number "7" on the back and sleeves. A 2” x 3” piece of the mesh fabric was cut out of the left front hem because the manufacturer’s logo was nixed by the IIHF. Game wear includes a diagonal black mark on the right front along with blue and red paint transfer, a mark on the back of the left sleeve and sweat stains around the collar.
"Unger" is screened onto the nameplate, while "CANADA" is screened on each sleeve along with a smaller multi-color maple leaf logo.
