Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

The signature of the great HOFer Frank Fredrickson (ind. 1958, dec. 1979) has always been a sought-after treasure for autograph seekers, and we’ve got a gem here with the crafty forward signing in clear black pen at the bottom of his typed letter that replies to a fan seeking his signature. The letter, measuring 5 ¾” x 7 ¾”, is dated as May 3rd, 1968, with Fredrickson’s name and address on the letterhead, and in which he apologizes for being late in replying and at the end, wonders why the majority of requests are for 3 autographs, or in this case, 4. Remaining in nice condition with a couple of faint yellow spots, 2 normal folds, and probably trimmed at the bottom, it’s definitely a nice, frameworthy piece from a great Canadian star of the early part of the 20th century.
