Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Imagine the stars and HOFers involved in these NHL All-Star programs that range from the 1960s when Stanley Cup-winning squads would face off against the rest of the league's best, through the next three decades when the players and formats would change but the game would remain one of the leagues’ main showcase events. We have All-Star Game programs from 1962, 63, 64, and ’68 at Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens; from St. Louis on January 2, 1970; the Boston Garden on Jan. 19, 1971; Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena on Feb. 5, 1980; and from New York’s Madison Square Garden on Jan. 21-22, 1994. All in very fine condition, they'll add nicely to your collection.
Condition-wise, the Oct. 6, 1962 issue has some wear on the cover to note, while the Oct. 10, 1964 program has a loose lineup page. The Jan. 16, 1968 example shows touches of dirt on the cover, and the Jan. 19, 1971 program has a few various handwritten ticks on the lineup page. All in all, a nice lot of programs from one of the most important dates on NHL calendar.
