Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
A couple of neat circa 1940s/1950s wool jerseys/sweaters up for grabs here including a blue and gold New Glasgow Bombers beauty with a felt number “12” sewn on the back, and measuring 23” from front collar to hem and 20” across the underarms. The jersey remains in great condition with marks showing on the collar, some wear on the team crest, and a handful of repairs on the front. Also offered is a red, white, and blue jersey with a felt “3” sewn on the front, measuring 23” from collar to hem and 20” across the arms, and in nice condition aside from a series of small, moth-like holes scattered about. This piece comes with marching socks and an LOA.
The Bombers were a Nova Scotia senior team which existed from 1941 to 1951, while the red, white and blue example is possibly from the New Havens Eagles, who were affiliates of the old New York Americans.
