Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
They’re old and been through more than a few battles and washing machines, but they remain very cool examples of jerseys from yesteryear. We have 5 vintage hockey jerseys and 2 vintage football sweaters for the taking, including, from hockey, a blue and red example with no holes and with a “CAA” crest sewn on the front and a felt number “4” on the back, measuring 24” from collar to hem and 19” across the underarms. Next, a red and white durene-type jersey with a felt number “4” sewn on, measuring 23” from top to bottom and 19” across the arms, with staining on the collar to note. Following that is a purple and gold knit, with no number, measuring 23” from collar to hem and 23” across the arms, with a scattering of small holes throughout. A green and white jersey measures 26” from collar to hem and 18” across the arms, with no number and plenty of small holes throughout, along with a repair near one armpit. And the last hockey jersey is an orange and white example with a felt number “5” on the back and felt New Brunswick crest on the front (with cracks), with the jersey showing no holes, very little dirt, and pilling throughout. The football jerseys include a black example with a felt number “21”, tagged in the collar as “Goldsmith Cincinnati”, measuring 25” from back collar to hem and 16” across the arms, in nice shape with a couple of holes to note, and a dark blue, 100% wool sweater with a chenille “NW” sewn on the front, tagged in the collar as “Lamb Knit”, and measuring 22 ½” from collar to hem and 16” across the underarms. Great collection.
