Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Delightful hockey-themed displays on sturdy cardboard include a circa 1910 Kutferu Mfg. Co. illustrated scene of a group of sharp-dressed men (and a woman) on and around a skating rink, looking like a million bucks as a couple of them hold their vintage hockey sticks. Measuring 18 ½” x 19 ½”, this advertisement for men’s suits, in excellent condition with only darkening of the edges to note, combines in fantastic fashion, hockey, skating, and early men’s apparel. As a swell bonus, the back of the piece once showed examples of fabric one could order the suits in, with residue remaining. Also offered is a circa 1940s/50s “Samson” ad on sturdy cardboard with an easel on the back for display, measuring approximately 19” x 20” and showing smiling players as they skate down the ice. Also in excellent condition with a few small areas of damage on the edges, this display, along with the 1910 Kutferu cardboard ad, would look absolutely sensational on your wall or shelf. Rare and oozing with fun.
