Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Jam-packed with household names such as Lafleur, Robinson, Shutt, Carbonneau, Gainey, Naslund et al is this professionally framed and matted 1982-83 official Canadiens team picture taken by photographer David Bier, measuring 20” x 22” overall, and in excellent condition with only a few nicks on the frame and small mark in the bottom corner of the glass to note. On the back, goaltender Richard Sevigny has signed in large blue marker. It was a team only a few years removed from the late-70s glory years, and those who picked up the torch would include Mark Napier, who scored 40 goals that season, and Ryan Walter, who collected 75 points in 80 games. A stately picture of the boys on Forum ice, with extra class coming in the form of Senior Vice-President John Beliveau and assistant coach Jacques Laperriere looking like a million bucks in their suits and ties.
