Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
From the legendary Turofsky brothers’ Alexandra Studio in Toronto is this original 6 ½” x 10 ¾” sepia-toned glossy of the 1941-42 Stanley Cup champion Toronto Maple Leafs, a team that had come back from a 3-0 series deficit in the Cup Finals to beat the Detroit Red Wings and claim the mug. In nice condition with a scattering of small and almost unnoticeable creases plus some slight dirt on the back, this cool pic bears the all-important Alexandra Studio stamp on the reverse. They’re all here – Broda, Apps, Drillon, Day and the gang, including Conn Smythe in his army uniform, and of course the Stanley Cup.
