Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
HOF center Phil Esposito took goal scoring to another stratosphere with the Big, Bad Bruins in the late-1960s and early-1970s, culminating with a 76-goal effort in 1970-71. Offered is Espo’s Victoriaville game-used stick from that era, which saw Boston win the Stanley Cup twice in three years. “7 P. Esposito” is stamped on the shaft below Phil’s well-worn white tape job on the knob, and the “Mailhot & Freres Inc.” stamp is on the front above the upper band of Bruins yellow, white and black accent stripes. Solid game wear with a split in the toe of the blade that does not diminish this beauty’s display.
Espo’s original tape job on the blade has nice wear along the bottom edge.
