Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Lorne Worsley’s early-1960s Rangers game-used stick is signed by the late, great Gumper. The deceased HOFer signed in bold blue marker with the “HOF 1980” notation just below the Gerry Cosby & Co. stamp on the shaft of his CCM Custom Pro gamer. “Worsley” is stamped on the front of the shaft which retains his well-worn white tape job on the knob. Gump’s black tape jobs on the paddle and blade also remain intact. Game wear shows in black marks on the paddle, which has a gouge through the lower wraps of tape, and red goalpost paint transfer on the shaft.
The blade is cracked under the tape with chips at the toe that do not diminish its display. The wood sections in the panel have separation from aging that is common to sticks from that era.
