Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
One of the NHL's all-time leading scorers at the time, Norm Ullman was Toronto's main acquisition in the March 1968 mega-trade that sent Frank Mahovlich to Detroit. Accompanied by linemate Paul Henderson and Floyd Smith, Norm joined the Leafs raring to go, contributing 5 goals and 17 points in 12 games to close out the season with a total of 35 goals and 72 points. Offered here are Norm's game-used skates from the outset of his days in Toronto, who he led in scoring three of his first four full seasons. Well-worn size 7-XS CCM Tacks feature white #9 decals on the outside heel of each boot. Norm switched to #9 with the Leafs because the #7 he wore in Detroit belonged to Tim Horton. Also included in this lot is a late 1980s Maple Leafs #9 jersey with Ullman's surname stitched in blue twill letters onto a white nameplate. Norm has signed the front and back of the jersey, which has had a patch removed from the right breast. These items from Norm Ullman's personal collection come along with his signed LOA.
