Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
The Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup for the first time in 1932 and Lorne Chabot was between the pipes for the blue and white. Awesome find is this original double-signed Chabot Alexandra Studio photo with Chabot decked out in his full 1932 Leafs uniform, including the ball cap! Crisply detailed and wonderfully preserved photograph with “Alexandra Studio” in the bottom right is signed and dated “Sincerely Yours, Lorne Chabot 1932” in black fountain pen ink. It is mounted in a 15x12 black wood frame and the brittle brown backing paper on the reverse has a big pencil “Yours truly, Lorne Chabotsky 1933” signature with “McHale” handwritten across the top. Unique opportunity to get Chabot and Chabotsky autographs in one piece!
The brown backing paper is torn along the top and left and right edges, but remains attached along the bottom.
