Terrifc chance to score a near set (23/25) of the desirable 1970-72 Habs pinbacks that were originally sold at the Montreal Forum and various other outlets. Measuring 1 ¾” in diameter, these black and white metal beauties include all but Leon Rochefort and a Montreal Canadiens team logo, with the first issue of 18/20 pinbacks showing “Made in Canada” on the edge, while the second issue of 5 more shows “Fait au Quebec”. Also offered 11 other Habs-related pinbacks of various sizes, including an extremely cool 1960s-era example with vivid red, white, and blue coloring.
Players in the 1970-72 23/25 series include, from the “Made in Canada” series, Savard, Harris, Backstrom, Lemaire, Duff, Tremblay, Worsley, Laperriere, Beliveau, Ruel, Harper, Rousseau, Vachon, Richard, Redmond, Cournoyer, Provost, and Ferguson. From “Fait au Quebec” are Lafleur, Dryden, Lapointe, and Frank and Peter Mahovlich. All remain is very nice, unscratched condition, with some showing slightly less whiteness and some age darkening on the backs. From the miscellaneous group of 11 Habs pins, we have, along with the aforementioned 1960s example, 4 from 1981-82 measuring approximately 2” in diameter and include Lapointe, Houle, Napier, and Langway, plus larger Harvey, Lafleur, H. Richard, and 3 different Habs logo pinbacks, with the entire lot in excellent condition.
