Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
The great Maurice Richard has signed 6 terrific pieces here (joined by a few others), beginning with a 16” x 20” reproduction of him, Elmer Lach and Tony Demers, with both Rocket and Elmer signing in clear bold marker. An 11” x 14” example of Rocket and Sugar Jim Henry shaking hands has been signed by both in dark blue marker, while a couple of 8” x 10” glossies are signed in blue marker – a photo of Richard, Beliveau, and Lafleur (signed by all 3), and the other showing Rocket alongside Red Wings d-man Marcel Pronovost, also signed by Rocket. An enlarged duplication of pages from a HOF book has been signed in large black marker by Richard, and a framed 11” x 14” Richard montage has been nicely signed in blue marker.
Tony Demers, who died in 1997, played briefly on a line with Lach and Richard in the early 1940s, but soon after, Toe Blake would take his place and the legendary Punch Line was born.
