Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
How is a guy who won the Stanley Cup nine times not in the Hall of Fame? Whatever the case, such is the lot of the late Claude Provost, whose mid-1950s Montreal Canadiens game-used stick is offered here. “Custom Made for Provost” is stamped on the shaft of Claude’s CCM Professional gamer with “Supplied by Raymond Hardward Ltd. Sporting Goods” stamped on one side of the shaft. Provost’s original tape jobs remain on the knob and blade and this beauty exhibits solid game use that includes wear to the bottom edge of the heel, black marks and red goalpost paint transfer. Comes with Classic Auctions LOA.
There are loose strands of tape on both the knob and the blade, the latter towards the heel.
