Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
This special black leather Roots bomber jacket, issued by Wayne Gretzky Authentic, is a similar version of the ones presented to members of the Canadian hockey teams following their gold medal win in 2002. The Canadian flag patch is sewn on the right arm while the left sleeve holds five black felt puck crests with gold thread embroidering for the years of Canadian gold medals. Gretzky has bolstered the value of this prime piece by adding a nice gold paint pen signature across the back, and a WGA label is affixed to the knitted hem. Housed in a deep 36” x 37” framed display case that shows various bumps and bruises, the winning bidder will have the option of receiving with or without the frame.
