How cool is this for an international hockey jersey? This 1980s IIHF World Championships Spain game-worn jersey proudly displays the country’s colors. According to WHA veteran Bob Sicinski, the jersey was worn by his friend Frank Gonzalez, who gifted it to him. Gonzalez went on to referee internationally after his playing career and is now an IIHF council member. Adidas size XL tagging sits in the back of the neck of this lightweight mesh jersey with red and gold stretchy knit inserts around the tails, and blue and gold on the sleeves. Agfa sponsors patches are sewn on each shoulder. Comes with Bob Sicinski's signed LOA.
Game wear shows in red paint transfer and faint marks on the stretchy fabric on the rear tail, faint marks and board burns on the sleeves and faint marks on the front tail. Spain” on the front and number 13 on the back and both sleeves are heat-pressed blue velour. Small black plastic Adidas logo screened on the right breast has partially peeled and flaked off.
