A member of Team Canada’s 1976 Canada Cup championship team, Lanny McDonald wore the captain’s C the second and final time he represented his country internationally at the 1981 world championships in Sweden. Lanny scored three goals in eight games for Canada. Vibrant red heavy mesh gamer features screened-on maple leaves, numbers and “Canada”, while “McDonald” is sewn on a long mesh nameplate in white twill letters, which exhibit red colour bleeding. Size “50” is handwritten in ballpoint on the “Sandow SK” flag tag in the neck, with a laundry instruction flag tag beneath it. The Sandow SK logo is screened on the rear hem. Game wear includes an unrepaired burn hole on the left front tail, board burns on the left sleeve and on the 9 on the right sleeve, black marks on the sleeves and collar, which also displays sweat stains and red color bleeding. Lanny McDonald’s signed LOA accompanies this jersey, a rare opportunity to get one of his very scarce international gamers.
