Bo knows baseball. Boy, did he ever! A multi-sport superstar, Bo Jackson used this Louisville Slugger gamer at some point during the first four of his five seasons with the Kansas City Royals in the second half of the 1980s. Jackson hit a tremendous homer to lead off the American League All-Stars at the 1989 midseason classic in Anaheim. Everything seemed possible for Bo at that point as he shuttled between the Royals and the NFL’s Los Angeles Raiders, where he racked up stunning numbers as one of the game’s most explosive running backs. Hip injuries derailed what might have been Hall of Fame careers in both sports, but when he was on top of his game, Bo seemed to know how to do it all. This Jackson Louisville Slugger B310 model features Bo’s facsimile signature on the barrel. This 35-inch-long bat survived where others famously were broken over Jackson’s thigh with his own bare hands, snapped in half like twigs. There are a couple of gashes on the barrel, possibly examples of Bo’s displeasure at an at-bat that didn’t go his way. Little other wear to report on this fine piece used by potentially the greatest athlete to rocket to superstardom in both baseball and football.
