A whopping 14 game-used sticks from players who once wore the Islanders uniform offered here and include 4 team-signed sticks among the group. All but one of these 14 sticks have original tape on the blades and knobs , and all but one show nice game use. We have a 1998-99 Rich Pilon Vic gamer, signed with black marker by approximately 13 Islanders including Salo, Brewer, B. Richter, Lawrence, Harlock, Miller, Pilon and others. A Gord Lane Vic stick has been signed in clear ballpoint pen by approximately 27 Islanders from circa 1984 including Lane, Sutter, Persson, Trottier, Nystrom, Gillies, Potvin (who has written “mine”, as Lane was using Potvin’s stick), and others. This stick has had the stamp “D. Potvin” blacked out and has a handwritten “24” just above. Gary Nylund’s Koho stick is plain to accommodate approximately 22 autographs signed in black or blue marker and include Baumgartner, Wood, Diduck, Fitzpatrick, Trottier, Sutter, Kerr, Chyzowski and others. “Nylund” is stamped on the upper shaft, and “36” is handwritten on both the shaft and the knob. Mike McEwen’s Sher-Wood, stamp-dated as “03 Fev. 1983” has “McEwen 2” stamped on, a piece of the edge has chipped off the shaft, and approximately 14 players have signed in very thin and mostly difficult to read ballpoint pen but we see Gillies, Nystrom, Goring, Persson, Smith, Langevin among others. Steve Tambellini’s Viv gamer is the only stick here with no tape, although marks are noticeable and “14” is handwritten twice on the upper shaft. Stephan Persson’s Koho has a faint “Persson” stamped on the upper shaft, and “7394” is stamped near the bottom. Uwe Krupp’s Vic gamer is signed in clear black marker on the heel, and on the upper shaft is a stamped “Krupp” while near the bottom is “160.11”. From Gord Dineen we have his Sher-Wood PMP 7000, with the blade tape having a tear, a few nicks are in the wood on the shaft, and “Dineen 2” is stamped on the upper shaft. Gerald Dicuck’s Sher-Wood shows lot of game use, “Didick 4” is stamped on the upper shaft, and a series of numbers and “NHL” are stamped near the blade. Brad Lauer’s Koho has a ton of marks on it, has “Lauer” near the top of the shaft, and a 20 inches of black tape covering the middle of the shaft. Paul Boutillier’s Sher-Wood has “Boutillier” stamped on the shaft, and 35 inches of black tape run from the heel up the shaft. Ken Baumgartner’s Victoriaville has “K. Baumgartner” stamped on the shaft, and Baumgartner has signed near the bottom in clear red marker. Greg Gilbert’s Sher-Wood has “Gilbert 7” stamped on, and the top of the blade shows some roughness which is covered by the tape. Derek King’s Victoriaville has a shaved handle with a handwritten “27” on it, “D. King” is stamped on the upper shaft, and King has signed the blade with clear and bold white marker.
