The Montreal Expos got back to their roots during the 2002 season when they wore gorgeous “Turn Back the Clock” uniforms for a home game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Outfielder Troy O’Leary has signed his 2002 Expos game-worn retro jersey, which he wore during Montreal’s 6-5 win over the Phillies at Olympic Stadium on May 26, 2002. Cream colored button-front beauty by Mitchell & Ness is based on the Expos’ 1970 home jersey with gorgeous red, white and blue piping sewn on the end of both sleeves. O’Leary has signed in blue marker below the red, white and blue Expos crest on the left breast. Mitchell & Ness tagging in the back of the neck has a size XXL flag tag on the right end. Cooperstown Collection Authentic by Mitchell & Ness tagging is sewn on the left tail with a “T.B.C. 5-26-02” patch sewn below it. The side seam inside the jersey has a size XXL, 100 percent wool flag tag. O’Leary wore this gamer, which has light reddish-brown stains on the front of the left shoulder, when he started in left field and went 2 for 4 with two RBIs while batting cleanup behind Vladimir Guerrero. He hit an RBI single in the first inning and drove in another run with a double in the sixth off Phillies starter Vicente Padilla that helped spur the Expos to a come-from-behind win.
