Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
A couple of early-1990s Miami Dolphin game-worn jerseys offered, with the first from tight end Keith Jackson, number 88, who wore this white Dolphins gamer in 1993 (when coach Don Shula was in his 24th season as head-honcho). This Keith Jackson gamer has had the nameplate removed and has a “93” handwritten in black on the inside collar. A “Wilson” patch is sewn on the hem, with an adjoining size flap reading as “48”. The front, back, and sleeve numbers are rubberized, and a small embroidered patch on the right sleeve shows “J.R.”, for team owner Joe Robbie, who had passed away in 1990. Marks and stains are noticeable on the front of the gamer and on the left sleeve number, with a team repair on the back and another on the left sleeve. The Downing pre-season gamer is a slight mystery as no “Downing” is listed on the Dolphins all-time roster, but we see that Tim Downing was waived by the team during the summer of 1992 so chances are strong that it was he who donned this gamer. The number “75” and “Downing” on the nameplate are rubberized, while sewn on the hem is the “Wilson” patch, along with “92” and a size “46” flap. A few marks are scattered about as well.
